A downloadable game for Windows

A small Pokemon sandbox game I started before quarantine happened in my country.

Plan to continue this game in the future (after school work settles down a bit) but will be a complete re-write of game as currently the code isn't my proudest work and was made while I was still learning the graphics library I used for this.

Please note: This is not a finished game, it will probably be very buggy and a few features you may expect may not work as they should. If you find a bug you can report it in the comments. But please note when I get time to work on this again, it will be a total re-write of the code so some of the bugs may be fixed by just me making the code better in the re-write. There are "NPC's" in the game right now but this was more me testing if I was able to do a RPG style text system more than anything else. I planned for you to be able to fight them but quarantine happened before this.

I am not a artist so the sprites in game are... not the best

About:

Pocket rocks is a Pokemon based sandbox game. There is no end goal but you can go around the world collecting and levelling up your Rocks. You can find shiny rocks too!!! They have a 0.2% chance of appearing instead of the original version of a rock when a encounter happens. You can change your rock you are using at any time via either the in battle rocks menu or the bag in the overworld. You have items in your bag for combat. The lower down the list they are the better they are. Your Pocket Rocks will evolve at different levels depending upon what rock they are (There are 20 rocks in the game so far)

Controls:

WASD to move around in the overworld

Return/Enter to interact with menus

Arrow keys to move in menus

Pressing L does nothing... Trust me just dont...

Hope you enjoy :D
